FIRE is the theme for the 2011 DJ Awards, which changed the history of humanity and civilization. It's a symbol used for millions of years at music gatherings, it's a source of inspiration and purification, it's the creator of power of life, energy and change which represents spirituality, enlightenment and renewal, and it's going to set this night on fire!

2009 Dreams

"This year the concept of dreams have been chosen as the theme of the DJ Awards 2009. Dreams are much more than a frivolous sideshow to the defragmentation of our minds during hours of rest; some dreams, for example, are the visions of a better future. From the lucid dreaming of Tibetan monks to the mysterious dreamtime of the Australian aboriginals; dreaming have grown to become a highly sophisticated expression of our ancestral cultural in heritage."

2008 Climate Change

"This year we draw our full attention to the degradation of the environment upon which we all depend. As we give our respect to the DJ's who have provided all the music, we must likewise respect the planet that have provided for us in abundance from time immemorial."

2007 Time

"We celebrate the idea of time. Whether lineal or circular, time is a constant that cannot be measured against anything in the known universe. We turn to the surrealist work of Dali whose mastery of visions deconstructs the illusion of time in from of our very eyes."

2006 Nature

2005 The Valve

"The valve creation brought about the very first aspects of electronic circuitry. Thanks to its creation we have the digital format today which have enabled us to super humanize ourselves instead of dehumanizing yourselves in the face of the industrial rise and humongous calculations.
